CENTRAL UNION OF RURAL AND AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES OF IRAN (CURACI)

Central Union of Rural and Agricultural Cooperatives of IRAN appeared as an Apex level organization in 1977 and was committed to policy making ,supporting ,guiding and supervision on its subordinate Network and gives services to its members in Agricultural field. Nowadays CURACI is big enough to cover 31 PROVINCE UNIONS, 320 SUBSET UNIONS, 4500 COOPERATIVE CORPORATION ,5.5 MILLIONS PRODUCERS and POPULATION MORE THAN 25 MILLIONS INDIVIDUALS. In addition there exist 4 economically viable complexes namely Jiroft, Shahid Rajayee , Aida and Navid Bar establishments having wide ranges of productions and services to their target beneficiaries.

Right after registration ,CURACI became operational using an initial start -up capital amounted 1680$ with a predefined scopes and objectives articulated in its by-laws including but not limited to the following :

-policy making supporting guiding and supervising the operations by addressing national developmental strategy over the network

-Rendering infrastructural assistance and on-farm services to the farmers and practitioners of the network as to recognize and enhance their farming –processing or marketing businesses towards a sustainable production and income generation

-Supplying all needed inputs e.g. chemicals ,fertilizers, seeds, saplings, machinery ,spare parts, home appliances , foodstuffs and else ,supported by forwarding technical training / advices and executive guidelines.

-Marketing surplus products in local markets or abroad

This union has used TROCA brand to export its product in foreign markets

AIDA Agro food Complex:

 

This complex has now hired 100 personnel and is capable to annually receive 100.000 tons tomato, various fruits e.g. apples ,pears ,apricot etc for processing and fruit powders production. The complex has also secured Food safety as a platform to diversity its quality products for foreign markets based on comparative advantage and reputation of Iranian agro crops. Meanwhile ,AIDA has been awarded many certificates including Green Industry , R & D Integrator , etc confirming its prosperities as environment friend , hygienic producer and agro- industrial sample unit.

JIROFT AGRO INDUSTRY co )JACO(:

 

By producing 80,000 citrus seedlings, the Company remarks as the biggest producer of standard and high grade citrus seedlings in southeast of Iran.

JACO covers 800 ha. of fertile lands equipped whit drip irrigation system properly used to cultivate varying crops e. g. potato, onion, tomato, strawberry, corn, cucumber, etc.

JACO also poses a chilling house bearing a capacity of 1,200 tons, as well as citrus and potato sorting units having total capacity of 16 tons per hour.

Moreover, 2 basket machines with different sizes are now operational for packing purpose.

Shahid Rajaee Agro -industrial Company:

 

This Complex also appeared in 1970 covering 5100 ha. mechanized land under Dez Dam and its integral irrigation system around Dezful district, north Khuzestan province. The field, later in 2010, restructured its strategy and became operational for say 17000 tons/year of irrigated crops under CURACI policy and guidelines Given the existence of tailor-made machinery and vicinity to Persian Gulf and its neighboring states there seems commending potential for export horizons and marketing opportunities to absorb customers and demands .
